The daemon side is built and described in docs/desktop-backend.md. Build against the integration branch, with examples/desktop-backend.sh for a backend to run.

  • Issue an invitation as worker or client (CreateInvitation), with its expiry
  • List and remove members (ListMembers, RemoveMember)
  • Join a friend's pool with an address and an invitation (JoinPool)

Daemon side: #67, #69.

Implemented in the desktop Operations view on branch feat/desktop-issues: create worker/client invitations, join a pool, list/remove members. Invitation is a one-use token shown for secure sharing. Typecheck/build and local backend demo pass.

Local implementation update (not yet submitted or merged):

The Operations pool tab wires CreateInvitation for worker/client roles, displays expiry, lists/removes members and joins another pool using its address and invitation. The current invitation lifetime is fixed at one hour.

Remaining acceptance work: joining a separate machine's pool, invitation expiry/rejection, role behavior, member removal and refresh/error handling. Read-only RPC smoke checks are not evidence that these mutating flows work end to end.

Shared layout/connection work is #99; the Go development setup is #100. Keep this issue open pending acceptance checks, review and merge.

Merged in the desktop stack (#101 to #110, with #116). What the review found still to do is in #117.
